On August 9, 2015 the Ozaukee County Historical Society presented its annual Bluegrass at the Village Festival, and yours truly was there. This year’s festival featured five local Bluegrass bands, and plenty of comfort food and drink to keep the ample crowd well-fed and happy. A nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Wisconsin’s short summer!
A few photos were added to the Bluegrass Festival gallery.

Several of my recent photos of the Port Washington 1860 Light Station docents have been published on the Port Washington Historical Society’s web site. The pictures in the gallery were all taken while our volunteer greeters and tour guides were on duty at the Light Station.
Every year during Labor Day weekend, Ozaukee County Pioneer Village turns into an armed camp. Dozens of Revolutionary War reenactors arrive to stage their annual encampment. Authentic costumes abound, realistic camps spring up, military formations are staged, and noisy battles ensue.
To witness this year’s action, drop by the Pioneer Village Revolutionary War Reenactment gallery, where 29 new photos have been added.
